Privacy Policy

Last updated June 11, 2026

World Clock Widgets is built to be private by default. We designed it so the clocks, boards, and teams you create never need to leave your device. This policy explains exactly what that means, what limited data is processed when you load the site, and the choices you have.

What we store, and where

Every widget you add, every board you create, and your appearance preferences are saved locally in your browser using localStorage. This data lives on your own device. It is not transmitted to us, and we have no way to read it. If you clear your browser storage or history, your boards are erased and the site returns to its starter layout.

Data we do not collect

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other directly identifying information in order to use the app. The contents of your boards — the cities, regions, and teammates you add — are never sent to our servers.

Cookies

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The site uses browser localStorage to remember your boards, which is not shared across sites and is not used to track you.

Analytics

To understand which features are useful, we use Umami, a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics tool. Umami collects aggregate, anonymous metrics such as page views, referring website, approximate region (derived from your IP address without storing it), and general device or browser type. It does not use cookies, does not build advertising profiles, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect personally identifying information. The metrics are used only in aggregate to help us improve the site. If you prefer not to be counted at all, you can use a browser or extension that blocks analytics scripts, and the app will continue to work normally.

Data retention

Because your boards live in your own browser, you control how long they are kept — they remain until you delete them or clear your browser data. Aggregate analytics data is retained by our analytics provider only for as long as it is useful for understanding general usage trends, and it cannot be tied back to you.

Your control

You can view, edit, or delete any board or widget at any time directly in the app. To remove everything World Clock Widgetshas stored on your device, clear this site’s data in your browser settings (or clear your browsing history). Since we do not hold a copy of your boards, this fully erases them.

What we never do

Third-party services

The site is hosted on a content-delivery network, loads web fonts, and loads the Umami analytics script described above. These providers may process standard technical request information (such as IP address and user-agent) solely to deliver the page and its assets, as is typical for any website. We do not control these providers’ own practices and encourage you to review their policies where relevant.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and your board data never leaves your device, which means there is no server-side database of user content for an attacker to target. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but keeping data local by design substantially reduces the risk to your information.

International users

World Clock Widgets can be used from anywhere. Because we do not collect personal information, there is no cross-border transfer of your personal data by us. Any aggregate analytics and standard request information may be processed by our service providers in the regions where they operate.

Children

World Clock Widgets is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page, and your continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
